About the event
The presentation is designed for anyone wanting to learn more about history, reparation work, and land acknowledgement statements. Organizations are encouraged to bring a team.
Presented by Rev. Debra Collum and Sara Sturgis, Historical Society Director. Debra spent two years researching and writing curriculum for religious organizations that are interested in writing Land Acknowledgement Statements. She will share her findings as they relate to other non-religious organizations. Sara will briefly overview the history and presence of Native Peoples in this area.
